Job summary

USA DeBusk seeks a Hydro Blast Technician to perform high‑pressure water blasting, vacuum operations, and site remediation tasks. You will handle equipment, comply with safety and training guidelines, and contribute to efficient maintenance and decontamination activities.

The role requires the ability to travel, lift heavy hoses, and work in demanding industrial environments, following SOPs and safety policies. TWIC is preferred and a valid license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to travel for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license or identification card.
• Respond to emergency calls 24/7 if called upon.
• Ability to work extended periods in confined spaces and extreme environments.
• Ability to follow training and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to follow procedures and directions.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lb hoses.
• Complete drug screen, pre-employment physical and background checks.
• TWIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment (high-pressure pumps, hydro-blasting, vacuum) per safety guidelines.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
• Work safely around heavy machinery in industrial settings.
• Clean/install/repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets on tanks.
• Assist in equipment inspection and report deficiencies to supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Summary/Objective

The Hydro Blast Technician will perform a wide range of physical activities that require strength and flexibility of whole body for handling, positioning, moving and manipulating equipment and materials, emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation and high-pressure water blasting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, in-service line hydro-blasting, and vacuum), in accordance with operational and training and guidelines and safety procedures.
• Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not limited to personal protective gear.
• Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and heaving industrial settings.
• Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets and all other external and internal equipment on tanks.
• Assist in the inspection of equipment, hoses, connections, pumps and general work area prior to starting any job. Informs supervisor of deficiencies, which may cause accidents, injuries or lost productivity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to travel for extended periods of time.
• Valid driver's license or identification card.
• Respond to emergency calls 24 hours, 7 days a week if called upon.
• Ability to work for extended periods of time within a confined space, in extreme temperature environments and at high elevation.
• Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions.
• Ability to lift, move and handle up to 50lb hoses.
• Successfully complete drug screen, pre-employment physical and all required background checks.
• TWIC (transportation worker identification card preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, move and handle up to 50lb hoses.
• Physically capable to stand and/or walk continuously for long periods of time if necessary.
• Physically capable to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.
• Physically capable to climb ladders and scaffolds (vertical and inclined) to heights in excess of 10' ft.
• Physically capable to frequently crouch, push/pull, squat, and work above the shoulders during the performance of the daily job routine.
