Job summary

Transwest, Inc. seeks a Hydraulics Technician in Brighton, CO to diagnose, repair and maintain hydraulic systems for trucks and equipment. You will read schematics, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot complex failures in dynamic environments.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing; ability to obtain Class B CDL.
• 3 years recent mechanic experience with hydraulic systems and diesel trucks.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
• Own a complete set of hand tools with a rollaway toolbox.
• Aluminum MIG & TIG welding experience.
• Refrigerant recovery certification.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills; detail oriented.
• Must pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic pumps, cylinders, valves, motors and hoses.
• Wet kit work on Semi's and equipment.
• Install, assemble, and test hydraulic systems and components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and blueprints.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and verify system performance.
• Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
