Job summary

E-Z Bel Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced heavy equipment technician to maintain and repair fleet trucks, trailers, and construction gear. You will diagnose diesel, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues using OEM software, Caterpillar ET, and Snap-On tools.

Responsibilities include performing PM services, repairing brakes and hydraulics, installing GPS and lighting, and coordinating with field staff. Safety and precise record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of heavy equipment or fleet repair experience.
  • Strong diesel engine, hydraulic and electrical system knowledge.
  • Fluency with OEM software, Caterpillar ET, Snap-On and multimeters.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems.
  • Perform PM1–PM5 services and thorough inspections; document results clearly.
  • Repair brakes, hydraulic hoses, clutches, AC, alternators and water pumps.
  • Install GPS units and lighting to manufacturer specs.
  • Respond to field calls; coordinate with foremen, dispatch, and operators.
  • Record parts usage and labor time in Equipment360 or designated systems.

Do These Challenges Sound Like You?Can you trace a stubborn hydraulic drift back to a worn cylinder seal? Do you move seamlessly between Caterpillar ET diagnostics, a Snap-On scope, and OEM software? Are you as comfortable installing a GPS module and lighting harness as you are swapping a clutch or water pump in the field? If so, you’ll thrive maintaining and repairing our fleet trucks, trailers, and construction equipment.Your MissionKeep loaders, skid steers, excavators, manlifts, and fleet trucks work-ready through expert troubleshooting and repair.Perform PM1–PM5 services and comprehensive inspections; document results precisely in work orders.Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues using OEM software, Caterpillar ET, Snap-On diagnostics, and multimeters.Repair/replace brakes, hydraulic hoses, clutches, AC systems, alternators, and water pumps.Service hydraulic systems—pumps, cylinders, valves, and flow components—with accuracy.Install GPS units, lighting systems, and electrical components to manufacturer specifications.Operate forklifts, cranes, and heavy equipment safely to support maintenance activities.Follow Lockout/Tagout, hot work, confined space, and OSHA procedures with zero compromise.Organize shop tools, spare parts, and equipment to ensure rapid response.Respond to field service calls; coordinate seamlessly with Foremen, Dispatch, and Operators.Record repair notes, parts usage, and labor time accurately in Equipment360 or designated systems.Partner with vendors for parts orders, returns, and warranty support.Assist with other assignments as business priorities evolve.What Sets You Up for Success3–7 years of heavy equipment/fleet repair experience or comparable technical training.Proven strength across diesel engines plus hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.Fluency with OEM software, Caterpillar ET, Snap-On, and multimeters.Ability to read manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.Welding and fabrication skills preferred.Safety-focused, adaptable, and effective both independently and on a team.Valid driver’s license.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsShop and outdoor work in all seasons—heat, cold, rain, and harsh conditions. Expect standing, bending, kneeling, and occasional confined or awkward positions for extended periods. Regular lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifts up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
