Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills are required.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools in a mechanical, industrial, hydraulic, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Experience with or willingness to learn hydraulic cylinder repair, rebuilding, and testing.
• Strong logical problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, evaluate, repair, and rebuild hydraulic cylinders and fluid power components.
• Perform failure analysis and identify required replacement parts and repair needs.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools and machining equipment.
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Perform hydraulic testing and troubleshooting, including operation of flow meters, data acquisition equipment, multimeters, and precision measuring tools.
• Operate hydraulic test stands and test hydraulic systems to verify proper operation and performance.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and fluid power systems.
• Assemble and reassemble hydraulic components and cylinders.
• Prepare repair quotes using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Communicate and send documentation using Microsoft Outlook.
• Perform pneumatic spray painting of repaired components.
• Operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe repair department.
• Follow established safety, quality, and repair procedures.
