Qualifications

• 8 years of professional experience in property/casualty insurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance or related field required.
• CPCU designation preferred or highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a geographic underwriting operation, supervising Supervisors, Underwriters, and Assistant Underwriters.
• Foster and maintain agency relationships within the assigned territory.
• Oversee acceptance, declination, and pricing of risks.
• Counsel and mentor underwriters on complex risks; review decisions beyond their authority.
• Ensure profitable growth and performance of the book of business; implement guidelines or pricing adjustments when needed.
