Job summary

NC Department of Administration is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the IT team. The role integrates application development, SQL Server database administration, server and platform operations, and Azure cloud services.

The position is hybrid, onsite two days per week with potential to three days, supporting Windows servers, Azure-hosted environments, and ASP.NET applications across multiple divisions.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows Server administration and Azure DevOps.
• Strong SQL Server database administration in Azure/DIT hosting environments.
• Experience with ASP.NET web applications and cloud/on-prem deployments.

Responsibilities

• Server Administration: manage ~15 enterprise servers across apps and databases; oversee Azurehosted Dev/Test/Prod environments.
• Database Administration: administer SQL Server databases in Azure/DIT hosting; ensure integrity and security; support migrations.
• Application Development: design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET components; manage DevOps pipelines and deployments.
