Job summary

City Of Atlanta Careers is seeking a Visual Content Creator to produce and edit high-quality video content for the Atlanta City Council. The role includes capturing photography, providing graphics support, and ensuring storytelling aligns with Council initiatives.

Responsibilities include planning shoots, operating cameras and lighting, and delivering publish-ready videos for social media, the Council website, and broadcast.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; seven years of related experience acceptable as substitute.
• 3–5 years of videography and editing experience; photography a plus.
• Experience covering government or political events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and produce video content for meetings, events, and community activities.
• Operate broadcast-quality cameras, lighting, and audio for multi-camera setups.
• Edit and finalize videos for social media, website, and broadcast.
• Manage assets, archiving, and file naming with clear organization.
• Coordinate with Communications staff to align with branding and messaging.
