William James Recruitment is assisting a highly regarded US law firm in Boston to recruit an experienced Trusts & Estates Partner for its sophisticated Private Client practice.

The ideal candidate will advise high-net-worth individuals and families on estate planning, wealth transfer, and administration, with a strong technical background and an established practice. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to develop an established Private Client practice.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in trusts and estates/private client work.
• Established client base or portable book of business preferred.
• Strong technical background and excellent client skills.

Responsibilities

• Advising high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning matters
• Advising clients on trusts, estates and wealth transfer strategies
• Advising on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax matters
• Preparing and drafting wills, trusts and other estate planning documents
• Advising on business succession and wealth preservation
• Advising on lifetime gifting and charitable planning
• Handling complex estate and trust administration matters
• Working closely with other professional advisers to deliver tailored solutions
• Developing and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
• Continuing to develop and grow an established client practice
