Job summary

Northstar Travel Group, the parent company of TravelAge West, seeks an Editorial Intern for a part-time, 12-week program based in Los Angeles with hybrid hours. You’ll write, fact-check, interview leaders and help produce newsletters and social content for travel professionals.

The role offers real-world newsroom experience, visibility within the masthead, and a path to publication in print and online. Start date October 2026.

Qualifications

• Strong writing, reporting and editing skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word
• Understanding of deadlines and editorial workflows

Responsibilities

• Pitch and write original stories for the magazine and TravelAgeWest.com
• Fact-check and copy edit against AP style
• Conduct interviews with travel industry leaders
• Help produce newsletters and social content
• Report on trends, hotels, cruise lines and destinations in the travel industry
• Attend weekly edit meetings and learn editorial planning
• Support WAVE Awards and Future Leaders in Travel programming
