Job summary

Benesch is looking for an experienced Transportation Project Engineer to enhance transportation infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work on planning and engineering designs for public agencies.

Working in a hybrid schedule, this role requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and some experience with local agency clients. Responsibilities include mentoring junior staff, compiling contract documents, and contributing to project proposals.

Qualifications

• Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects.
• Experience working with Local and State public agency clients (Public Works, DOTs, etc.).
• Kansas and/or Missouri Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design.
• Compile and coordinate plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items.
• Support studies and alternative analysis to determine best solutions.
