Job summary

AECOM Transportation is seeking traffic engineers and CAD designers to support projects across the Southeast. The roles involve signing, pavement markings, traffic signals, and design for large Design/Build or Alternate Delivery highway projects.

Candidates should have BS in Engineering with 2–10 years of experience, with EIT/PE preferred, and experience using Bentley MicroStation/Open Roads. Hybrid work and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience (CAD Designers)
• BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience (Junior Level Engineers)
• BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience (Mid-Level Engineers)
• BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience (Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads)
• EIT Certification or PE License (Preferred)
• State DOT experience (Preferred)
• Knowledge and prior use of the AASHTO Green Book and MUTCD (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Key roles include handling various levels of Traffic Engineers and Designers to support projects in the Southeast.
• Experience with design/build/alternative delivery highway projects.
• Work with Bentley MicroStation and Open Roads for traffic design.
• Develop signing, pavement marking design and traffic signal designs; coordinate on interchanges.
