Job summary

Healthcare IT Leaders is seeking a technically proficient Solution Architect for a 6-month contract in the Bay Area, CA. The role focuses on enterprise integration, API governance, and AI-enabled delivery across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-native environments.

The ideal candidate will excel in C4 modeling, Arc42/SAD documentation, and cross-team collaboration while guiding complex workloads and ensuring security and compliance in regulated healthcare contexts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of solution architecture experience, including leadership of large-scale initiatives.
• Proven expertise in API design, system integration, and cloud-native development.
• Experience delivering AI-driven solutions (model orchestration, ML data services).
• Proficiency in C4 modeling and architecture documentation standards (Arc42, SAD).
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data governance in regulated environments.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with SAFe or Scrum in agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Architecture Design: Develop artifacts using the C4 model for on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-native platforms.
• Solution Delivery: Translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions and assess patterns and services, including AI/ML components.
• API Integration and Design: Lead RESTful API design, event-driven architectures, and secure integrations.
• Project and Workload Management: Prioritize initiatives and ensure alignment with delivery goals.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Align architecture with delivery priorities with product, eng, data science and business teams.
• Documentation and Governance: Develop SADs, interface specs, and compliance artifacts per Arc42.
• Agile and Delivery Support: Assist planning, sprint execution, and risk mitigation.
