KQED is seeking a Technical Product Manager to bridge business strategy with engineering execution. This hybrid role in San Francisco focuses on prioritizing features, infrastructure, and technical debt to deliver scalable, capable digital systems powering kqed.org and apps.

You will translate complex requirements into actionable roadmaps, work with editors and engineers, and ensure alignment with business goals through measurable metrics and disciplined backlog management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/IS or related STEM field.
• 5+ years working on technical products.
• Experience with microservices, cloud platforms, APIs and data stores.

Responsibilities

• Establish prioritization frameworks balancing features, infra, and debt.
• Collaborate with engineering to translate requirements into roadmaps and stories.
• Define product metrics and analyze system performance.
• Lead grooming, backlog refinement, and sprint planning in Agile environments.
