Job summary

Frazier & Deeter is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to partner with the firm’s leaders and serve as a critical leader for client engagements. The role involves planning, managing, reviewing, and completing complex tax work with a focus on high-quality service and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will hold an active CPA license, have 8+ years of corporate tax experience, and be proficient with ASC 740 and tax software like CCH Axcess. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting; CPA license.
• 8+ years of Corporate Tax experience in public accounting.
• Familiarity with ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes) and FAS 109.
• Experience supervising, training, developing, and reviewing staff and senior associates.

Responsibilities

• Manage and conduct high level review of complex tax returns for individuals, business returns, and trusts.
• Lead tax engagements from start to finish, including planning, budgeting and monitoring fees, execution, and delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service and understanding their business needs.
• Lead client meetings and presentations, articulating tax concepts clearly and effectively.
• Monitor engagement profitability through budgeting, billing, and client expectations.
• Actively participate in business development, including networking, industry events, and proposals to attract new clients.
