Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation in Maryland is seeking a Tax Compliance Manager to oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance, ASC 740 reporting, and regulatory filings. The role partners with external advisors and internal teams to strengthen tax processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field is required.
• CPA or Master’s in Taxation is preferred.
• Experience with ASC 740 and multi-state tax compliance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns.
• Oversee sales/use tax, personal property tax, and other transactional taxes.
• Coordinate tax provisions and reconciliations with accounting and external advisors.
• Ensure month-end close alignment with tax reporting.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and respond to tax authorities.
