Job summary

DiMercurio Advisors LLC. in Orlando, Florida seeks a Tax Associate to assist with tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for small business owners. You will work with clients, support tax notices, and develop both technical tax expertise and client advisory skills.

The role offers hybrid work with in-office days and remote work, mentorship from senior tax professionals, and a pathway toward Senior Tax Associate as the firm grows.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of tax preparation experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or related field.
• Experience preparing Forms 1040, 1065, and 1120-S.
• Proficiency in Excel and tax software; ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, partnership, and S corporation tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120-S).
• Assist clients with quarterly estimated tax calculations and year-end planning.
• Prepare tax workpapers and supporting documentation for filings.
• Analyze financial statements to identify tax issues and opportunities.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates.
• Research federal, Florida, and multi-state tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex planning projects.
• Utilize CCH Axcess Tax and other firm platforms to improve efficiency.
