Sayres Defense is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing team in the Washington, DC/DMV area. This role supports full lifecycle recruiting with a focus on technical, engineering, and government-contracting positions, blending remote work with regular in‑office collaboration.

The ideal candidate is a junior-to-mid-level recruiter who enjoys building relationships, learning technical subject matter, and partnering with program leadership to meet staffing goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR, business, communications, or related field.
• 2–5 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting for technical, scientific, engineering, or government-contracting roles preferred.
• Familiarity with government contracting staffing requirements and labor categories.
• Strong assessment skills and ability to evaluate technical qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle recruiting with intake, postings, sourcing, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
• Develop creative sourcing strategies across job boards, networks, and social platforms.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and contract specifics.
• Maintain accurate job descriptions, requisitions, and applicant records.
• Support business development and proposal recruiting efforts.
