Job summary

A leading research institution in San Diego seeks a Systems and Network Administrator for a key role in supporting Internet measurement research. You'll design and manage large-scale infrastructures while utilizing best practices in cybersecurity. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in system performance monitoring, Unix shell scripting, and Infrastructure-as-Code. This is a full-time, hybrid position with an annual salary range between $96,862 and $143,947.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Understanding of system performance monitoring with Grafana.
• Experience writing scripts for automation.
• Advanced knowledge of computer security best practices.
• Demonstrated experience with Unix operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain large-scale data and compute solutions.
• Automate processes and design CI/CD workflows.
• Perform complex security control activities and maintain inventories.
