Job summary

Aflac Columbus is seeking a Systems Engineer I to support a multi-platform, distributed environment across on‑premise and cloud platforms. You will troubleshoot complex issues, contribute to architecture, and help ensure system performance and security.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 0–2+ years of experience, with strong skills in Windows, Unix networking, AD, Azure AD, AWS, SQL Server, and Java. Hybrid schedule, reporting to an Aflac office in Columbus, GA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 0-2+ years of experience monitoring, analyzing and maintaining computer system operations.

Responsibilities

• Provides support on design/architectural and maintenance of a multi-platform environment for distributed on premise and cloud.
• Serves as the subject matter expert in maintenance and support of most customer products.
• Troubleshoots and analyzes complex issues involving infrastructure products and networking components; documents solutions and trains teams.
• Helps design, implement, configure, and maintain operating systems enterprise-wide.
• Ensures system performance and capacity, and aligns with security standards.
