Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited curriculum in the US or equivalent from outside the US.
• 3 years of cumulative experience in the field of system protection.
• Current and active California PE license desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to peers and lower-level engineers.
• Perform protection job duties for transmission voltages 230 kV and below.
• Handle special and complex projects, such as localized special protection scheme and MPAC.
• Perform protection job duties for distribution voltages.
• Handle special and complex projects, such as localized special protection scheme, fast distribution bus pickup scheme, tie cable, Switchgear IPAC, etc.
• Participate in development of design standards, new tools and new relay schemes.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline (US accredited)
