Job summary

IntelliBee is seeking a System Administrator II to sustain a high-availability hybrid infrastructure spanning on-prem Windows/Linux and cloud environments in Raleigh, NC. You will optimize connectivity, support migrations, and ensure secure, reliable enterprise services.

The role emphasizes load balancing, firewalls, and network fundamentals, with growing cloud operations experience and opportunities to modernize infrastructure while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure, cloud services, or cloud migration activities.
• Strong understanding of high-availability architectures and system redundancy.
• PowerShell, Bash, or scripting for automation
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V
• Knowledge of cloud-integrated infrastructure (AWS/Azure/hybrid)
• TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching fundamentals.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting platforms (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike, Security Onion, WhatsUp Gold).

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain cloud-integrated infrastructure including Windows and Linux VMs, storage, identity platforms, and cross-environment connectivity.
• Design, establish, and optimize secure connectivity between cloud environments and on-prem data centers (VPNs, direct connect, routing, identity federation).
• Participate in database replication/migration activities between on-prem databases and cloud-managed database services.
• Perform system administration tasks for enterprise applications including patching, automated deployments, configuration updates, performance tuning, log analysis, backups, and capacity planning; coordinate with vendors.
• Administer and troubleshoot F5 BigIP traffic managers (VIP configuration, pool management, SSL profiles, health).
• Assist in managing Palo Alto firewalls (security policies, NAT rules).
• Collaborate with network team to diagnose Layer 2/3 networking issues (routing, switching, VLANs, load balancing).
• Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and SOPs.
• Support incident response with root-cause analysis and remediation actions.
• Vulnerability management activities (scanning, prioritizing risks, remediation).
• Work with cross-functional teams on new deployments, upgrades, and automation initiatives.
