Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Surveying Project Manager in Normal, IL. The role oversees large or multiple smaller projects, mentoring staff and managing schedules, budgets, quality, and client relationships.

The PM will develop project scopes, fees, and lead technical deliverables using CAD and Trimble platforms. Required licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS/RLS/LS), a degree in land surveying or related certificates, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license
• Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree / Land Surveying approved classes certificate
• Professional Land Surveyor's License (PLS, RLS, LS)
• Experience with Trimble equipment and CAD platforms
• Experience with MS Office (Word & Excel)
• Ability to mentor/lead staff
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere
• Understanding of new technology in surveying

Responsibilities

• Mentor staff on CAD platforms and deliverables.
• Utilize CAD & Trimble platforms daily for drawings.
• Assist in developing contracts, scopes, and schedules.
• Assign and review work of team members.
• Delegate and supervise surveying work on projects.
• Represent the project in client meetings.
• Review invoices with management and clients.
• Participate in business development and client management.
