Job summary

Ulteig is hiring a Survey Technician to support field data collection, project layout, and deliverables with the Survey Crew Chief and Professional Land Surveyor. You will aid in data processing, base map creation, and the preparation of survey exhibits and plats.

Suitable for entry-level to 3 years of experience, with a preference for an AS degree in Surveying and LSIT/CST certifications. The role offers hybrid work options and growth toward professional licensure in surveying.

Qualifications

• AS degree in Surveying or equivalent preferred but not required.
• LSIT or CST certification preferred but not required.
• Entry-level candidates or 0–3 years of related experience encouraged to apply.
• Experience with field surveys across various project types is a plus.
• Familiarity with field equipment and data processing tools is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Support Survey Crew Chief in field surveys per standards and project requirements.
• Prepare equipment and supplies; coordinate with team members.
• Assist Professional Land Surveyor and office staff in delivering survey products.
• Download, check and organize field data; assist with base map and exhibit creation.
• Draft Land Survey Plats, Legal Descriptions, Easement Exhibits, and other deliverables.
• Maintain documentation and follow established workflows; support timely tasks.
