Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA invites an aspiring Layout Engineering intern to join our hybrid, summer program from May to August 2027. You will work under the Layout and Design Integration Engineering Manager and assist with 3D layout, hazards analysis, and drawing interpretation.

Qualifications include pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering and having completed sophomore year.

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, architectural, or other engineering.
• Completed Sophomore year of college.

Responsibilities

• Assist with physical arrangement of the nuclear island structures and equipment using 3D design software.
• Perform hazards evaluations with 3D plant models and analysis software.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and criteria documents.
• Work with customers, vendors and our teams to obtain information to support work activities.
• Plan and schedule to meet requirements.
• Solve technical engineering problems.
• Participate in design reviews and present technical designs and analysis results to team members.
