Job summary

Summit is offering a Summer Analyst internship for undergraduate and graduate students in the Washington, DC area with a hybrid schedule. The program includes a 10-week experience with mentoring from a sponsor and intern-led group project, plus professional development and networking opportunities.

Applicants should be on track to complete degrees in economics, finance, statistics, policy, data science, or applied mathematics between December 2027 and May 2028, maintain a 3.5+ GPA, be a U.S.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.5 or above.
• Pursuing a degree in economics, finance, statistics, policy, data science, or applied math.
• U.S. citizen due to work with Federal clients.
• Experience with R, Stata, Python, or SAS for data analysis.
• Experience with VBA and macros.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to assist consultants with report writing and PowerPoint presentations.
• Able to work from DC office at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support consultants with data analysis and reporting.
• Contribute to a collaborative intern-led group project.
• Assist with preparing PowerPoint presentations and client reports.
• Participate in professional development and networking events.
• Hybrid internship with on-site days in DC.
