Job summary

PG&E in Oakland is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer (Electrical) under the ESC represents, to provide technical engineering support for routine projects. You will work under the guidance of more experienced engineers, assist PMs and field staff, and contribute to scoping, cost estimates, and design reviews.

The role is hybrid, with a mix of remote work and on-site duties at the Oakland location within PG&E's service territory.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited curriculum in the US or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assists with or conducts project walkdowns and determines scope of work, schedule, and cost commitments
• Prepares cost estimates
• Investigates resources required for engineering tasks
• Establishes engineering schedule
• Prepares project forecast and tracks progress
• Reviews design and technical documents and ensures criteria are met
• Coordinates with other disciplines for routine projects
• Provides construction support and resolves field construction problems
