Job summary

FWI is seeking a Project Manager to oversee a busy publications and communications program for the Federal Highway Administration. You will manage planning, staffing, and delivery of technical publications, marketing materials, and multimedia products from concept to final release, ensuring on-time, on-budget performance across a diverse project portfolio.

The role supports a hybrid schedule with two on-site days per week at a client facility in McLean, VA or Washington, DC, and some travel

Qualifications

• Active PMP certification required.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Business, Marketing/Communications, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, staffing, and delivery of publications and communications projects.
• Manage budget, scheduling, and resource allocation across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with government contracting and technical representatives.
• Oversee production of materials from flyers to 300+ page reports, video and social content.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of writers, editors, designers, and multimedia specialists.
• Track risk, quality, and performance metrics, and report to stakeholders.
• Ensure project status is tracked in the client submission system.
