Qualifications
- J.D. required to practice as associate consultant.
- Accident & Health Insurance License required within 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate disability insurance programs for professional sports leagues related to salary protection for missed games.
- Draft/review policy documents and participate in renewal negotiations.
- Maintain financial records and calculations related to program performance.
- Gather medical documentation and assist in medical underwriting with carriers.
- Review game data for claims and coordinate submissions with teams and carriers.
- Learn insurance provisions of Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Assist with placement of individual disability policies and underwriting.
- Review policy wording and compare carriers.
- Coordinate with other NFP Sports offerings and related coverage.
