The role emphasizes building and optimizing detections, dashboards, and data normalization within Splunk, plus incident response duties and on-call rotations. A Secret clearance is required to qualify.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in SIEM engineering, security operations, or IR.
• Strong proficiency with Splunk, writing complex SPL and dashboards.
• Experience onboarding security data into a centralized SIEM.

Responsibilities

• Developing, maintaining, and optimizing Splunk detections, dashboards, and correlations.
• Onboarding and normalizing diverse security data into Splunk.
• Troubleshooting ingestion, forwarder connectivity, and indexing issues.
• Collaborating with SOC analysts to enhance threat detection and response.
• Participating in incident response investigations and deep-dives.
