Job summary

Ysleta Independent School District seeks a dedicated paraprofessional to support students with disabilities inside and outside the classroom. You will assist with IEP implementation, behavior management, and instructional activities under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Responsibilities include supervising students, preparing materials, and contributing to social-emotional learning within a 187-day assignment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 48 college hours preferred.
• Paraprofessional certificate SBEC required or eligible.
• CPR, Heimlich maneuver, and NCI certifications within district training calendar.
• Must be able to communicate/read/write in English.
• Experience working with students and parents is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students inside and outside classroom (lunch, bus, playground).
• Assist teacher with instructional materials, behavioral interventions, and physical needs.
• Participate in staff development and apply learned strategies.
• Work with individuals, small groups, and whole class as assigned.
• Assist with IEP implementation and documentation of services.
