Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC in Atlanta is seeking a Sourcing Analyst to support category managers and sourcing leaders as they develop sourcing strategies, prepare for supplier negotiations, and evaluate supplier proposals.

You will partner closely with stakeholders across GP businesses, facility operations, finance, market insights, and other sourcing teams to understand business requirements, operational constraints, supplier capabilities, and changing market conditions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in an Analyst or similar role in supply chain, procurement, or analytics.
• Experience using technology to analyze data and drive results (Excel, AI tools, SQL, Python).
• Experience developing clear presentations using PowerPoint.
• Experience working with large datasets to identify trends, build models, evaluate scenarios, or generate recommendations.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Gather and organize data to build a category fact base with spend, volumes, and supplier information.
• Partner with Category Owners to understand needs, market dynamics, and sourcing opportunities.
• Develop RFx templates to capture inputs for evaluating cost, service, risk, and value.
• Support RFx events via Ariba, communicate with suppliers, and evaluate offers beyond price.
• Develop clear summaries of supplier responses to compare trade-offs on cost, service, and risk.
• Create supplier award scenarios balancing cost savings, supply assurance, and operational needs.
• Present findings to Category Owners, sourcing leadership, and stakeholders in a concise format.
• Support negotiation strategies by identifying pricing gaps and cost drivers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on recommendations and implementation.
