Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is offering a Software Engineer Intern role in the United States with a hybrid work model. You will work an average of 2 days per week from an HPE office and contribute to software design, development, and debugging for various systems and tools.

The internship targets students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, with emphasis on strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of software systems design tools and languages.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of design for software systems running on multiple platform types.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English.

Responsibilities

• Codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of systems software, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools.
• Executes established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues.
• Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
• Participates as a member of a project team of other software systems engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions for low to moderately- complex products.
