Job summary

MediaAlpha is seeking a Software Engineer to join our tech team. You will own the full SDLC for our Exchange product, build scalable systems, and deliver high-performance ad serving solutions.

The role involves Perl development in a Linux/AWS environment and collaboration with cross-functional partners. Requirements include 3+ years of software development, a BS in a technical field, and experience with web APIs and MySQL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• B.S. in computer science or a technical field.
• Experience using web APIs and relational databases.
• Strong core software engineering practices and readable code.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the full software development lifecycle for high-performance ad serving.
• Integrate products with partners and maintain the live MediaAlpha Exchange product.
• Develop Perl code in a Linux/AWS environment (EC2, S3, CloudFront, Route 53).
• Collaborate with team and resolve routine issues.
