Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior Penetration Testing Engineer to join the Penetration Testing Team in a highly technical role within a regulated banking environment. You will own end-to-end tests, lead third-party engagements, and drive secure design improvements across web, API, and enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on penetration testing in high-security environments.
• Experience managing third-party penetration testing vendors.
• Deep expertise in application testing (web/API/mobile).
• Strong knowledge of modern architectures (cloud-native, microservices, CI/CD).
• Ability to translate technical findings into actionable remediation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage third-party network penetration tests.
• Lead end-to-end application pen testing across internal and external providers (web, API).
• Perform advanced testing across authn/authz, injection, API abuse, crypto misuse, and access controls.
• Establish and enforce testing standards for internal teams and external vendors.
• Deliver regulator-ready reporting with clear risk context and remediation guidance.
• Lead AI/LLM-enabled testing techniques and assurance testing of enterprise AI deployments.
• Partner with engineering and infrastructure to validate remediation and strengthen secure deployment practices.
