Job summary

HED is seeking an ICT Engineer to act as sector-wide authority in planning, design, and delivery of advanced ICT systems for mission-critical data centers. This role shapes technical direction, mentors engineers, and drives innovative digital building infrastructure.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, translate client needs into integrated ICT strategies, and oversee complex analyses, ensuring performance, resiliency, and alignment with sustainability and client goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical, ICT, or related Engineering discipline required or equivalent tenured experience as demonstrated through industry recognized certification and/or licensure.
RCDD certification required.
Advanced professional certifications strongly preferred (e.g., BICSI DCDC/OSP, PMP, LEED AP).
10–15 years of ICT or low-voltage design experience in the AEC industry, with significant leadership on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
Proven ability to set vision and strategy for ICT within an integrated design environment.

Responsibilities

Provide sector wide mission critical leadership for ICT system design, delivery, and innovation across large-scale, complex data center projects.
Set vision for ICT integration, aligning with client objectives, sustainability goals, and firm design excellence.
Serve as the highest-level technical authority on structured cabling, network/telecom infra, wireless systems, and converged building systems.
Translate emerging technologies and standards into HED best practices, standards, and tools.
Lead client-facing engagements, including business development pursuits and strategic partnerships.
