Job summary

ICF is seeking a Senior Climate Resilience Consultant with a state and local focus. The role includes leading vulnerability assessments, integrating resilience into planning, and advising on financing strategies for infrastructure projects.

Hybrid work is available with offices in NYC or Arlington, VA, and fully remote options for highly qualified candidates. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in climate resilience, strong project management skills, and proficiency with GIS, R, or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, climate science, sustainability, engineering, urban or regional planning, public policy, natural resources, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in climate change or resilience, conducting system-level risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Experience managing project tasks, budgets, schedules, deliverables, and client relationships.
• Experience overseeing, mentoring, or developing junior staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Conduct state-level or regional vulnerability and risk assessments and develop resilience plans.
• Mainstream resilience into capital improvement planning or development of adaptation pathways.
• Help public agencies build the business case for investing in resilience and develop financing strategies.
• Create climate resilience design guidelines to guide infrastructure project development.
