Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a school psychologist to provide consultation during office hours, triage referrals, and make recommendations for evaluations at the designated site.

The psychologist will conduct evaluations in accordance with state and district guidelines, interpret data at team meetings, and offer feedback on interventions.

This 1.0 FTE position is based in Tucson with a 9.5-month calendar; salary will be prorated if needed. Location varies by site.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology or related field.
• Valid State of Arizona School Psychologist Certificate.
• Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• Knowledge of IDEA and Special Education rules and regulations.
• Strong psychometric background and ability to use assessments.
• Knowledge of evaluation procedures for diverse student populations.
• Understanding of child development and learning disorders.
• Ability to communicate complex data to parents and teachers.
• Sensitivity to cultural and linguistic differences.
• Knowledge of K-12 curricula.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation during office hours and triage referrals to the designated site.
• Make recommendations for additional support or an evaluation.
• Conduct evaluations according to state and district guidelines.
• Attend team meetings to interpret data and provide feedback on interventions.
