Talbot Child Psychology is seeking a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to provide school-based mental health services to children and teens in Easton, MD. The role is an independent contractor with autonomy over the schedule and a hybrid workspace, primarily onsite at Talbot County Public Schools with occasional remote via videotherapy.

The LCPC will conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, deliver CBT and other evidence-based interventions, collaborate with caregivers

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active Maryland license: LCSW-C.
• Experience providing therapy to children/adolescents.
• Knowledge of school systems and child development.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Comfort working independently in school environments while staying connected to a clinical team.
• Preferred: 2+ years of school-based or pediatric mental health experience.
• Training in trauma-informed care, anxiety/depression treatment or behavioral intervention.
• Experience with IEP/504 and MTSS frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Provide individual (and small-group) counseling to children and adolescents in school settings.
• Conduct intake assessments, develop diagnostic impressions, and create individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, skills-based) targeting anxiety, mood, behavior, and school-related stress.
• Collaborate with caregivers, teachers, and school teams to coordinate care.
• Provide brief crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning within scope of practice policies.
• Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation in the practice’s electronic health record.
• Provide occasional teletherapy sessions via secure video when in-person care is not feasible.
