Job summary

Arvato Bertelsmann is seeking an experienced SAP Developer to design, develop, and continuously improve ERP backbone systems. You will collaborate with technical peers, internal business contacts, and external clients to implement new SAP projects and enhancements, covering MM/SD/LES/PP/WM/IM processes.

The role requires ABAP development, SAP R/3/S/4 Hana experience, and strong communication. Hybrid schedule available after six months, with a focus on global process alignment and high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or closely related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• 5+ years of SAP support/implementation experience required
• 3+ of ABAP and debugging experience required
• ABAP, IDOC, USEREXITS, Open SQL, XML, BAPI's and BADI's, SAP Queries
• Intellectual curiosity, problem solving and detail oriented
• Provide high quality support in all areas of the operation
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Very good communication skills and follow‑through ability
• Work independently in an international environment
• Able to perform at a fast‑paced packaging environment
• Perform accurately under stressful conditions.
• Flexibility is a must: overtime, holidays, weekends, different shifts in warehouse
• Experience with Adobe Forms, Smartforms, Bartender and Centralized Output management preferred
• RF device, QM is a plus
• ITIL certification preferred
• WM, SD & MM expertise required, IM, FI, CRM preferred
• LES experience is a plus
• SAP R/3 experience required with some S/4 Hana preferred
• Previous experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume warehouse environment
• Knowledge of SAP pertaining to warehouse activities

Responsibilities

• Implementing new customer projects and change requests for Arvato SCS with direct interaction with internal stakeholders, and external clients.
• Manage SAP implementation lifecycle including gathering requirements, process analysis, designing, implementing solutions, deployment, documenting, training and supporting users.
• End‑to‑end SCM processes in MM/SD/LES/PP/WM/IM area.
• Deep understanding of Logistics with integrated WM with HU management, RF scanning, batch management and serialization; knowledge of shipping and transport management.
• Identify and resolve data/process issues with relevant teams.
• Collaborate with business users to detail SAP issues and address them promptly.
• Be part of global IT team aligning processes for regions.
• Hybrid schedule offered after 6 months.
• Involvement and support with departmental process improvements.
• Abide by safety/hygiene regulations.
• Follow and maintain 7s Program and guidelines.
• Support a safe, clean, efficient work environment.
