Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to support Geriatrics and General Medicine with hybrid in-clinic and remote work. The role focuses on triage nursing, coordinating care, and educating patients to improve outcomes.

You will work with physicians and APPs, manage high call volumes, and participate in geriatric assessments, medication management, and care coordination. Must hold MO or IL RN license and BLS certification; associate degree in nursing required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in MO and/or IL, per Compact Act.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care.
• Provides patient care including medications, procedures and monitoring status per nursing practice.
• Counsels and educates patients and families on disease processes and symptom management.
• Maintains medical records with timely documentation.
• Collaborates with health care team to adjust nursing care to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Assists providers with exams, prescriptions and other direct patient care tasks.
