Qualifications

• Four (4) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area.
• Acquiring knowledge of research function.
• Acquiring statistical analysis, systems programming, and database design skills to perform research analysis duties.
• Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline.
• Basic consultation and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate results to scientists and to others. Knowledge of data analysis pipelines that clean, analyze, and output data in ways that are optimized to reduce error and support reproducible science.
• Experience with analysis software such as SAS, R, Stata, and JMP.
• Experience in basic research analysis protocol, results, and conclusion writeups.

Responsibilities

• Maintain databases, perform data entry and verification, and clean datasets.
• Compile data and prepare standard reports, tables, charts, and graphs using SAS, R, Stata, or JMP.
• Conduct quality control reviews of data and help create basic calculated variables.
• Assist with literature searches and summarize findings for research staff.
• Support the presentation of research results and provide routine assistance to faculty, staff, students, and trainees.
