Job summary

Freese and Nichols, Inc. is looking for a Water/Wastewater Transmission & Utilities Engineer in Training to support the Charlotte, NC office. This role includes preparing design calculations and specifications for water and wastewater projects.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, a B.S. degree in a relevant field, and valid EIT certification. The position offers a flexible work environment, including up to 40% remote work and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in civil/environmental engineering.
• Ability to prepare design calculations and specifications.
• Progressing towards PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform analyses and prepare concise reports.
• Coordinate with technicians and junior staff.
• Apply knowledge of engineering design standards.
