Job summary

First Citizens Bank in Raleigh, NC is offering a summer Regulatory Reporting Intern role that blends in-office and remote work. This internship provides hands-on experience at a large bank, working with a team responsible for FRB/FDIC reporting and data analytics.

You will assist with preparation and validation of regulatory reports, learn accounting guidance, and participate in process improvements, under mentoring from a project and division leader.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program).
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, review, and validation of selected regulatory reports and supporting schedules.
• Support the documentation and control process that ensure the accuracy and completeness of submissions.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives such as automation, data-quality enhancements, and reporting efficiency projects.
• Learn how to interpret and apply relevant regulatory instructions and accounting guidance (e.g., FR Y-9C, Call Report, etc.).
• Collaboration – Works with department peers and leadership in other enterprise functions to ensure reported data and data aggregations align with regulatory requirements.
