Job summary

The California Public Utilities Commission is seeking a Regulatory Analyst II in San Francisco, with hybrid telework. You will conduct analyses and advise decisionmakers on topics at the intersection of gas, energy policy, and climate goals.

Under the Energy Division's Building Decarbonization and Gas Policy Branch, you will contribute to policy development and provide analytical support to management. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical, economic, financial, and/or policy research.
• Experience writing reports, briefing documents, and/or legislative analyses.
• Ability to build cooperative working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses and advise decisionmakers on topics balancing climate goals with gas safety, reliability and affordability.
• Work under the Building Decarbonization and Gas Policy Branch within the Energy Division.
• Collaborate with teams across Natural Gas Policy, Building Decarbonization, and related sections.
