Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital is seeking a Refund Specialist to prepare insurance and patient credit balances for resolution under the guidance of the Patient Finance Manager/Director. The role involves investigating refunds, interacting with hospital staff and payers, and reconciling refunds in the Expanse billing system.

The position requires strong numerical accuracy, payer knowledge, and customer service skills, with a hybrid remote/on-site work arrangement after training period.

Qualificações

• 3 years prior experience in hospital collections.
• Strong payer knowledge base.
• Excellent data entry accuracy and numerical detail.
• Ability to interact professionally with physicians, administration and insurance staff.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate and process refunds following established procedures.
• Interact with physicians, administration, clinical and accounting staff to resolve credit balances.
• Resolve credit balances for insurance and patient balances.
• Initiate refunds, offsets, and adjustments.
• Maintain notes detailing actions taken to resolve balances.
• Assist with payment posting and month-end closing.
