Job summary

Ocean Network Express North America is seeking a Rail Strategy & Planning Analyst to maintain rail contract rates, assist in vendor contracts, and conduct Inland Operations cost analyses. You will collaborate with Marketing, Marine and Inland Procurement teams to evaluate routing and rate proposals, analyze approvals, and ensure contractual compliance with ONE rail vendors.

The role offers opportunity to shape rail strategy within North America and contribute to Inland Procurement growth;

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in rail, intermodal operations, or ocean carrier logistics preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience in cost analysis, budgeting, and performance tracking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of rail costs and track cost savings programs.
• Evaluate proposals from Marketing and Inland Operations regarding inland rail routings.
• Generate insightful reports and dashboards on KPIs and internal benchmarks.
• Assist in managing rail vendor contracts, ensuring SLAs and pricing terms.
• Develop and maintain relationships with rail vendors and monitor market trends.
• Monitor rail service quality and address performance concerns with vendors to improve reliability.
