Job summary

IQM Finland Oy is seeking a Project Manager to lead government-funded R&D programs across Japan and internationally. You will collaborate with technical teams, partners, and stakeholders, steering end-to-end projects, managing budgets, timelines, and risk, while reporting progress to evaluators and auditors.

You will work with diverse teams across locations and time zones, ensuring IP protection and compliance with funder guidelines, in a growing, globally remote environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Material Science, or a related STEM field.

Responsibilities

• Own the project end-to-end: milestones, stage gates, budget, and KPIs.
• Act as the main contact for government Program Directors, Project Officers, and evaluators.
• Build and manage the WBS, Gantt charts, and risk plans to keep the program on track.
• Translate technical progress into clear reports for non-specialist evaluators and auditors.
• Lead scope changes, budget reallocations, and amendment procedures with the government.
• Prepare official reports and represent the project in reviews and audits.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across locations and time zones.
• Protect IQM's IP while staying compliant with funder guidelines.
• Set up PM practices, templates, and trackers to scale with more projects.
