Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager for a new FDA-supporting contract. You will lead QA engineers, drive testing excellence, and ensure compliance with regulatory processes.

The role requires 3 in-office days at the Gaithersburg location and/or FDA White Oak campus, with hybrid work options. A strong background in test planning, automation, and team leadership is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of related experience (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing test plans and scripts for web-based applications
  • 3+ years' experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and mentor QA engineers and automation testers with clear direction and performance feedback
  • Ensure QA practices align with FDA security, governance, and data-protection requirements
  • Develop and maintain test plans, RTMs, scripts, validation packages, and release readiness criteria for multiple FDA workstreams
  • Design and implement test automation strategy and oversee automation coverage
  • Verify releases meet regulatory criteria for accuracy, traceability, and readiness for UAT and production deployment
  • Collaborate with FDA leads, program managers, and scientific reviewers to support FDA mission outcomes
  • Oversee functional, regression, E2E, performance, and UAT testing cycles and publish QA status reports
