Job summary

Skill is seeking a Prototyping Designer for its retail store prototyping lab. You will contribute rapid ideation, prototype fixtures, and execute light construction, creating digital and physical look-and-feel iterations, scale models, and managing 3D printing for stakeholder presentations.

You will also ideate using AI tools and keep pace with evolving capabilities. This is a full-time salaried role with 3 on-site days in Mountain View, CA and 2 days either remote or in-office as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years ID or retail design experience.
• Graphic design and production skills are a plus.
• Curious about how things are made and how they work.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Creative thought partner with designers.
• Autonomously run a project.
• Collaborate with other designers on design solutions.
• Prototype retail fixtures and create mockups.
• Produce look-and-feel iterations using AI tools.
