HX5, LLC seeks an Electrical Engineering co-op in Brook Park, Ohio to provide power electronics engineering support for NASA’s Glenn Research Center. The role emphasizes hands-on motor design, testing, and rapid design iterations for next-generation propulsion subsystems.

You will work with top engineers, applying motor magnetic analysis, 3D printing, and AI-assisted research to accelerate hardware concepts from idea to flight-ready prototypes.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an electrical engineering program at an ABET-accredited institution.
• Knowledge of motor magnetic analysis to estimate torques and losses on a motor using Ansys or an open-source magnetic analysis code.
• Design skills to update existing motor designs and fabricate parts using 3D printing.

Responsabilités

• Provide power electronics engineering support to NASA GRC Transformational Tools and Technologies' Alternative Propulsion Focus Area.
• Assist in rapid analyses, designs, testing, and integration cycles to evaluate novel propulsion solutions.
